Ginseng Ficus

We have actually done three Ginseng Ficus to date, but we donated our first one very early on to a friend at work that was leaving. Our second and third are off to a great start. One has a triple trunk, which is not common to keep a triple trunk. Usually a bonsai artist would choose one or maybe even two, then cut off the third. Often, it would be the thickest branch, which send somewhat counter intuitive, but cut off thick branches improve the tappering. Our newest is very young and still needs some time and vision.

When we got her she has very tall branches. So we hard pruned them, so she can thicken at the lower portion before we allow thinner branches to start a little higher on the trunk.
